Five-day car trip with Ingrid's parents

Tuesday 5th October: In the morning Ingrid's dad drove the four of us to Allensbach (Germany) where we arrived around dinner time. The salmon trout we had for dinner at some German restaurant was not cooked very thoroughly - they had to put it back into the microwave. We stayed at "Haus Regina".

Weather: Sunny, 20-25ºC.

Wednesday 6th October: In the morning Ingrid and I went for a nice walk is the rain. In the afternoon we took an umbrella with us and walked to Mittelzell on the Reichenau peninsula. The rain even intensified during the day, but it was very congenial - just the two of us under the umbrella. We had planned on taking the boat back to the main land, but that day it didn't go, so we took the bus back to Wollmatingen. We had to change over to another bus to lead us to Allensbach, but we accidently forgot our beloved umbrella. For dinner we (Dutch people) went to a Greek restaurant (in Germany) and had Italian food.

Weather: Rain, 15-20ºC.

Thursday 7th October: In the morning we all visited the beautiful island of. In the afternoon we drove to the Rhine falls (Rheinfall) in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. These were our admission tickets for the "Schloss Laufen":

On our way back to Allensbach we went for a short walk in Stein on the Rhine (Stein am Rhein), which is funny because Ingrid's parents lived in Stein in the Netherlands at the time. Back in Allensbach we had "Geschnetzeltes" for dinner in a restaurant (chicken in a crème sauce).

Weather: Mostly cloudy, about 20ºC.

Friday 8th October: We went to the Reichenau peninsula by boat and went for a huge walk there. Here we are on the boat:

 (please notice the new umbrella...) Later that day it appeared that we had been walking in circles. But we still had a good walk!

Weather: Cloudy, 15-20ºC.

Saturday 9th October: The trip back home...

Weather: Partly cloudy, about 20ºC.
