Eurovision Song Contest 1979

On Saturday 31st March 1979 the 24th Eurovision Song Contest was held in the International Convention Centre in Jerusalem (Israel), hosted by Daniel Pe'er and Yardena Arazi.

Each participating country had a number of jury members who put together a joined top 10. The number one on that list got 12 points, the second 10, third 8, fourth 7 etc. until the tenth country with one point.
