ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL

St Paul’s Cathedral is one of London’s architectural masterpieces, famous for its stately lead-sheeted dome. Designed by the celebrated architect Sir Christopher Wren following the Great Fire of 1666, it was the first English cathedral constructed for Anglican worship. The crypt of St Paul’s contains dozens of monuments and tombs, including that of Wren himself. The unusual acoustics of the Whispering Gallery at the base of the dome carry whispered sounds all the way around. We were not allowed to take pictures from the inside, but this should give some impression of it.
